Complete Guide "Study in Portugal" - Academic Year 2026/2027
Are you a student in Cape Verde, but would like to study at a Portuguese university? Kimov shows you all the steps and information you need to make that happen!
Important Information: The 2026/2027 scholarship announcements are NOT yet open. It is necessary to wait for the official publication. Applications for scholarships can only be made after a letter of acceptance or proof of admission to the university has been received.
STEP BY STEP:
Step 1: Finish high school - Good grades help a lot. Some areas require specific grades (e.g., medicine, psychology, engineering).
Step 2: Choose your degree and university - There are several universities with varying costs (e.g., large cities are associated with higher costs);
Step 3: Apply - There is a specific type of application for Cape Verdeans because Cape Verde has an agreement with Portugal. Many universities accept the 12th grade as the entry grade.
Applications are usually made online between March and July (dates may variate).
